Long discussion with Dylan Collard.

Had a good long chat with Dylan looking at how he is doing and how the general state of photography is.

To cut a three hour chat short, he is still doing well and this is because he is concentrating on the big theme of the moment marketing.

Looking for new and innovative ways to raise a profile is taking up more and more of photographers time and energy. There are no simple solutions especially at a time of tight budgets and limited understanding of the potential of the photographic image amongst commissioners. Much is dependant on the idea and the energy with which it is executed.
